LOL @ Hale. I'm purely PvE, I've so far managed to kill a grand total of 4 mobs in DoA. I dont have time to test further, but I can hardly wait to. I love a challenge, this will be a challenge.

Thank you A-net.

I was in the game from just before Noon until a few minutes ago. I love visiting during events, and trust me, this is a biggie. Anyway, for the record, I saw my first "It's impossible. Anet you suck!" at precisely 12:05 p.m. PST. That's five minutes after the area opened.

I won't say it's easy.
I won't say it's not very, very, very challenging. (I added bold for emphasis, see that? )
However, I will that that it is do-able.
It'll just take us some time and effort to figure out how!
Sorry Gaile but after an hour of trying to survive the first encounter with 7 other experienced guildies, it will not be worth going through until ANET nerf's DoA just a little bit. Seriously the comment "It's impossible. Anet you suck!" stands. Even with 8 people spamming Lightbringer Gaze on one Margonite at a time we still got humiliated.

This is far worse then the any Elite missions in Cantha, and in thoes missions we had at least 12 not 8.

Yea, the Dust Trap bug is fixed.

Anyways, to reiterate... all I want are henchies. Please, please, please, please add henchies so the classes I use that don't become part of the cookie cutter build can actually do some of the fun and challenging quests.

I'll give it 2 months and you will be able to buy the gemstones.

Trappers work. Boring as hell though

I think a Barrage group with at least one CG ranger could work too (not tested yet though).

Possibly, a group with a Life Barrier monk and an Angelic Protection paragon (whith shield of absorbtion and/or seed on him 24/7) and then a whole load of meteor showers might also work (again, not tested yet).

Oh, and, you can Lightbringer's Gaze spike We tried that and got a couple of kills before getting overwhelmed.

This is all ref. the margonite groups btw.

The touchers would be easy to take out with some aoe degen, aoe slowdown (water ele) and kiting. Although it might be slow.

And the mobs in the rly dark area with the light shard thing (i forget what it's called) also seem do-able with good hex removal.

Actually it kinda sounds like people are enjoying the challenge of it. It's understandable to be upset about some want of success, but just because you don't walk in and 'own' doesn't mean that it's a horrible setup. Hard doesn't mean impossible, difficult doesn't mean that the makers are sitting there giggling over their Chilled Money Smoothies and trading stories about how silly everyone is to buy the game. Group comments never work, because even if your thoughts are those of others, they aren't those of everyone's.

lets all cheer for an enormous group of 30 or so lvl 28 touchers that use dark aura.. i think the only way for those is using 4 rits with Lively Was Naomei and 4 SS's, to SS 4 of them, then the rits to res everyone with Lively, and repeat til they sac themselves

Can you give me details? Or is this just posting for fun? I can assure you it's not "fixed," because we were not able to replicate it, although the team was working on it.

Do be aware, when I see comments like this, I ask QA to investigate and they are kind enough to oblige. Reading further down, it appears this wasn't a genuine bug, and that means I've just wasted a bunch of people's time -- people who could have been working on real bugs.

I don't mean to lay a guilt trip on you, but I will ask everyone to please not post this sort of thing, because it has harmful effects and negatively impacts our ability to improve the game. Ok? Thanks!

After going at it to test out all the monsters and everything, all I could figure out is heavy heavy prot XD. I stygx veil or whatever has the places crawling with basically axxtaxes or however you say there names. My warrior had 3 hits of 114 dmg, with max armor. Im gonna try to run it though, they dont see very quick and I want to scout out an area.

Folks, not to bring A-Net down (fine company and great games) but there is little or no AI programmed into this game. You call those enemies have AI in DoA. That is a lie. All they did is load them up to higher level (with higher HP and maybe attack power) and put oh say, 10 to 20 of them in one huge mob after another. Oh yeah, make sure each mob group is close to each others so you can't never really aggro one group.

I would love to go to DoA but what is the ultimate reward you get out of here? Another green weapons or rare items? No thanks, i got quests and missions to finish with my Dervish and Ranger.

Ok nobody knows for sure but im about 70% certain that the Gate of Anguish isnt the elite mission.. Not sure yet as ive given up coz its too hard, but when you go for Razah, you need 4 Stones to get to the next area.. The elite mission I am guessing. So that is where the 12 man party will be, this is just the challenging way to get into the elite mission,

*remembering there was alot about "noobs" getting into factions elite missions because of ferries* -Problem solved, now nobody can get into it

Just watch, Anet will "ease" up the area by tomorrow or maybe sunday.

P.S. I went to check it out, and I saw the "novel" weapon trader.

Can anyone shed some light on how to obtain an Ambrace of Truth?

Also, what are Coffer of Whispers used for?

It definatly seems to be a 12 group area, you just get steam rollered with 8.
I think it will be better after some build experimentation and some higher light bringer ranks.

I'm going to reserve judgement on this until I play it more, but some of these people complaining do have a point. Challenge is good and wanted by a lot of people, but there is a fine line between fun challenge and simply frustrating challenge.

Hopefully it falls to the side of fun.

Most of Stygian Veil I noticed is closed off, meaning you most likely either have to be killing the monsters to proceed further which means to get anywhere you have to do quests. I also noticed that you can run in Stygian veil and unlock 1 chest. So far I got a pair of Icy Talon Daggers of Dagger Mastery with a 19% dmg while hexed. Im gonna open a few more chests and see if its golds only

I will probably do that when I get home from work in a few hours. Sounds like it'll be needed, and I have a high-capacity Teamspeak server at my disposal.

People please stop that complaining allready. This place just opened and everyone are like "It is impossible! WE HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME!" Play it a bit more before you start to complain.
